Distracted Driving

Host(s): Lynne Ford

Chandler Gerber was driving about 60 miles an hour in his van, when he picked up his phone to text a family member. In a split second, his life changed forever, when his van hit a buggy carrying an Amish family, and three of their children were killed. Chandler shares his story with us and challenges others to put down the phone while driving. Then we’ll hear from Deborah Hersman, the president and CEO of the National Safety Council, who offers important information on the dangers of distracted driving and why it’s important for you to practice (and teach your kids) safe driving habits.
